Hello, SNOWboader people (and those who are NOT!). Welcome to our first photo peek of Project X-evan… an extreme sports athelete!
We know many of you are waiting for winter and the upcoming ‘shred’ season… so, in the meantime, we have created Project X-evan, a fine collection of that which represents both danger and joy of this extreme sport… snowboarding.
Well, this past weekend, we went to one the most popular snowboarding resorts in the local area and met up with Evan and his mom, Sheryl. We were all super motivated to have some fun and excitement to shoot before the real season kicks-off. After all, there was no waiting in lines, not a lot of people (actually, no people at all!)… for that matter, there was not even snow… but we had the park all to ourselves!
Yet, Evan was all over the place and we just followed and had the Canon ready. Snowboarding is a lifestyle… snowboarding and nothing else. Kind of living life without fear… this is Evan!
We were in awe of Project X-evan and are excited to share this sneak peek with you. And, remember… 92-day countdown to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics is fast approaching!

When Brittney, a 2010 Davison High School senior, and her family friend, Kim, walked through our studio door we knew we were in for a special treat. They have an incredible connection and bond with one another. When we started discussing possible location ideas, they told me of the most beautiful park near their home. I couldn’t wait for Brittney’s photo shoot session, so we went to scout the location ahead of the session and what a fabulous place it was!
About half way through the shoot we stumbled upon a location where the light was coming through the trees and hitting Brittney just at the right angle and I just started snapping away. And, when Brittney suggested climbing over the rails and walking on the stepping stones of the waterfalls, I was hesitant, at first. Brittney’s passion and drive is awe-inspiring and it’s infectious. It’s so much fun to connect with seniors, like Brittney, that have so much zest for life and adventure. I grabbed my Canon and we took off.
At the end of this special photo shoot session, I realized Brittney had made my job quite easy… as you can see by her sneak peak below! Thanks again Brittney and Kim… you were both so much fun and exciting to work with!
And, if you think that Brittney did an awesome job in her photos, please leave a comment below!

We just love doing senior photo sessions because they’re so much more like a fashion shoot where we get to direct and experiment, plus high school seniors do know how to rock and are always up for being original and different so we can always get some awesomeness from each shoot.
Meet, Katie… the stylish, quite type with a great smile. The camera absolutely loved her!… and, so did we! She was rockn’ some cool styles and brought just the right amount of A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E for her photo shoot session. And, her friend, Alison, who pitched in to assist, was just the best!
Katie, thank you for being willing to go with the flow and try out our ideas… sure am glad that cop just dropped by to say hi!… and not coming for us! Check out the coolness in her sneak peek below!
And, if you think that Katie did an awesome job in her photos, please leave her some love and a comment below!

We’ve been trying for awhile to get together with Alicia and finally the “BIG shoot day” came…. she was gracious enough to squeeze me in her busy school schedule, dance and cross-country activities, and, did I mention hanging out with friends!?!
Alicia is such a sweet spirit… and, almost unbearably adorable. She was so cute and willing to try any pose, any location and we just had fun. I am just loving her photos… they’re so HER and the perfect amount of CUTE! Mom (Jennifer!), thanks for finding us and allowing us to photograph your beautiful daughter, Alicia! It was truly our pleasure. We hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!
And, if you are reading this and think that Alicia did an awesome job in her photos, you should leave her some love!! Comment below and make her day.

Introducing Grace… attractive, elegant, chic and one additional word: PHOTOGENIC! She was fun to watch coming out of the Burger Traveling Dressing Room because she came out making a statement with her stunning outfits and accessories. Grace is a fashion diva and knows how to put herself together with her style and colors, and, she loves a wholesome look with little or no make-up.
This young lady has a sweet and kind demeanor and was a natural in front of the camera and made my job so easy especially with her best friend, Meagan and her mom, Kathleen, assisting! It was definitely a beautiful afternoon!
This sneak peek for Grace displays the beautiful range of options we had for her senior photo shoot session. We used a nearby property as the perfect setting with perfect afternoon weather. The property had a rustic, country-feel to it… out of the city with lots of textures, colors and natural areas. Grace was adventurous enough to wander out in the fields in a few of her images so we could capture her personality in these most perfect images.
It was a delight hanging out with Grace, Meagan and her mom and shooting right until the last bit of daylight disappeared over the horizon. Enjoy!

We believe in having your senior portraits say exactly what you want them to say and we’ll work together with the senior and their parents to make them express everything you want them to say!
And, now we introduce you to Ben, Class of 2010, Goodrich High School. We met Ben when he assisted his friend Sara (Class of 2010, Mt. Morris) during her senior photo session. Ben had a plan… unique and creative, and, stimulating and exciting. Ben chose the Flint, Michigan downtown area for his photoshoot session… an area that is meaningful to him because of the many “high” places… tall buildings, lofty bridges and elevated parking garages. We started early afternoon for this session… the weather was cool and not too windy, the water was as smooth as glass, and, other than a few mosquitoes (we survived!) everything went perfect.
Ben have a fun and safe senior year and enjoy your sneak peak!

From the minute we picked-up Ericka, 2010 St. Agnes Academy senior, from Houston, Texas, at the Detroit Airport, began an incredible three-day weekend. It was hard work but it was fun and exciting to see our photo shoot plan for Ericka come alive. It will definitely be something everyone involved will remember for sometime to come!
I want to also mention that Ericka spent her summer volunteering in Cocle, Panama and was recently awarded a $15,000 scholarship from the Linda Lorell Scholarship Foundation. And, sponsored by Chris Brown from the Houston Texans and given to Ericka and the other finalists was an iMAC Apple Computer and a 6-week SAT course. Congratulations, Ericka!
Ericka, thank you so much for flying in from Houston for your 2010 Senior pictures! It was such a joy and blessing to work with you. Have a great senior year, and, enjoy your sneak peak with your family and friends!

There are times when we just sense a photo shoot session is going to be great. When Brittany arrived from Houston… yes, I did say “Houston, TX”! Well, that was the beginning of a whirlwind weekend of shooting in and around some of the coolest places in Mid-Michigan. Of course, they say everything is bigger and better in Texas except they don’t have picturesque landscapes, lakes and parks, University of Michigan nor Michigan State University! Brittany came in with her beautiful Texas tan and smile and gave us free reign to go wherever I wanted to shoot and “Wow!” that’s always a fun and exciting way to start.
Brittany is one of those young ladies who knows’ who she is and is a natural in front of a camera. She is not only beautiful but she is also sweet, inquisitive and sincere…a great combination that shows in all her images. Best wishes to you, Brittany, as you finish out your senior year! And, enjoy your sneak peak with your family and friends!

And, yes, there is only one Lauralyn… a senior, Class of 2010, Hartland High School. This is a “sneak peek” of the most incredible photoshoot session we had this week! Lauralyn and her mom, Nancy, came prepared with beautiful outfits and shoes and accessories, and the most stunning make-up case. And, we don’t want to forget to mention her stylists and assistants, Jordan and Chrissy. It was a well-planned session at a beautiful location and it was fun and it was exciting.
This is one of the most awesome “sneak peeks” we’ve had and we always promise more images but this time we are following through. Lauralyn and her mom, Nancy, had this incredible idea and we were more than happy to oblige. Check back tomorrow for some really unimaginable images of Lauralyn’s photoshoot!
Lauralyn, enjoy your “sneak peek”.

With the ‘sneak peak’ below of our favorite pictures of Sarah, we proceed to tell of her make-believe story as she aspires to be accepted in a prestigious dance school. She lives by herself, in an old theatre district; working as a welder during the day and as a dancer at night. And, as we all know, dreams can and do come true… Sarah meets and falls in love. And, as Sarah’s story unfolds, she is seen smiling as she rushes out of her auditon in to the arms of her love and we never know if she is accepted at the Conservatory.

A few days ago, we unleashed the true beauty of our 2010 SpokesModel for Grand Blanc High School, Jessica. Her senior portrait session was not your average senior experience… perfect weather (except a few mosquito bites), gorgeous girl (Jessica, of course!), stylish outfits (reeking ‘wow’ confidence!) … what more could a photographer ask for?
Seen below is a ‘sneak peak’ of Jessica’s awesome photoshoot session. And, as I mentioned previously… not your average senior portrait session. Jessica’s personal fashion style went to the very core of her being… a statement of confidence. Combine with the natural lighting and scenic location were the perfect contrast to Jessica’s exquisite beauty.
With this ‘sneak peak’ of our favorite pictures of Jessica, we proceed around the corner and it leaves us wanting more, therefore, more images of her senior photoshoot coming soon! And, don’t forget to leave your comments. We’re also on Facebook and you can leave comments there, too!

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks trying to get caught up on senior photo shoots, getting images ready for prints and custom-made books, and, other projects, so we’re behind on blogging and putting up images. Therefore, we’ll be posting a few of the last few sessions in the next few weeks!
In the meantime, let me introduce you to Josh, Class of 2010, Linden High School. Jeff and I set-up a really cool photo shoot session with Josh after we had spent some time getting to know him. During this initial consultation his sister, Jessica, and, his favorite, smart and attractive aunt, “A.C.” (Auntie Carrie), also, attended.
Josh is one of those guys who is always busy, especially getting school stuff ready, sports and working at his summer job. Yet, during his photo session, Josh, was a real pro. At every shot, every location, Josh was prepared with his outfits and especially his posing; like I said, a real pro. This made the photo shoot go smoothly, and, it was exciting to see Jeff capture the true essence of who Josh is by including a few his props… his baseball glove, his baseball, and, his school letter jacket. Jeff takes the time to not only know about his client but he considers these important things to capture the real Josh and bring him to life through his senior pictures. After all, one’s character and personality have contributed to who the senior is today and what he or she will be tomorrow.
Josh’s senior photoshoot session was a time for excitement, creativity and individuality, and, all of that has come across in his images. If you are also looking for stimulating, creative senior pictures, with a little intensity and edginess thrown in, that are as unique as you are, then Jeffrey W Burger Photography is for you! Look at the images below and leave you comments. We’re also on Facebook, please leave comments there, too, after you’ve seen Josh’s photos!
Josh, enjoy your “sneak peek” of a few of your images.

What a great photoshoot we had with Mallory, Class of 2010, Linden High School! She blew us away with her unique, quite style and was game for every pose and location we suggested. Did I also mention classy and sassy at the same time? Yes, that was Mallory! And, in the next image, she had an artsy yet cool demeanor. Mallory was just fabulous and it shows in all her images.
The poses, the locations, the fashions and accessories… especially her little red convertible and don’t forget those hot, red JSimpson boots! And, let’s not forget our assistants, Mary (Mallory’s mom), Mallory’s really cute aunt, and, our most beautiful Katie (Linden ’10). What a photoshoot… we were having so much fun we didn’t wrap until 9:30 p.m.!
An excellent shoot with the most unique, edgy yet beautiful images of Mallory! Nothing more to be said… look at the images below and leave you comments. We’re also on Facebook, please leave comments there, too, after you’ve seen Mallory’s photos!

Just wanted to take a moment and share a couple of images of one of our favorite seniors from the Class of 2010. This is Sara Anne from Powers Catholic High School! She is not only gorgeous and has this beautiful personality but she has her own style and is not afraid of being herself.
We spent an awesome afternoon of shooting in this spectacular location… Bobby and Chas’ estate! If you have never been there, wow, this is the coolest place this side of Alaska or the hottest place this side of Hawaii! (I think a lot of you know it as a really cool place to hang-out with a pool, a barn, a few horses and the cutest dogs!… and, did I mention the VIP lounge?) Anyway, it was a great day of shooting and lots of wonderful help from Taajwar (Kettering), Sarah (MSU), Stephanie (MSU), Cindy (Sara Anne’s mom), and, of course, Bobby (Western Michigan).
Sara Anne is a photographer’s dream model… for every scene that was set-up, she was a natural with smooth yet edgy posing and a beautiful laugh thrown in! She was such a blast to shoot, that she twisted my arm and I agreed to do another shoot with her on a dock, on a lake at sunset. Now, that’s cool!
Well, enough said… look at the images below and leave you comments. We’re also on

A few days ago we did a photoshoot with Will from the Senior Class of 2010, Powers Catholic High School. And, he did a great job… a real pro.
As we always do with our clients, we send our clients our PhotoShoot Consultation Form to be completed and submitted before our initial meeting. This allows the client and his/her parents to give some thought to what is involved in planning for the photoshoot. After receiving and reviewing the Form, it also give us time to scout locations and come up with unique on-site locations, ideas for cool poses and clothing suggestions beforehand. Then on the initial meeting, we all put our ideas and suggestions together and plan for the “big photoshoot day”.
Also, after, this initial meeting, if needed, we can meet again or we will definitely speak on the phone several times to finalize the details. This personalized consultation prior to the photoshoot offers us and our clients the opportunity to get to know each other and especially allows us to know who the client is. We put everybody’s ideas, thoughs and suggestions together and we bring them to life through the client’s portraits.
Turns out, Will is a really cool guy, quite but very interesting, and, did we say smart? Besides being involved in his community, church and school activities, Will is in karate and on the debate team! We were really excited to capture Will’s character and personality in the images shown below.
Will, enjoy your” sneak peak” of a few of your images and please share with your family and friends! Will, have a great senior year and best of luck!

Your personal fashion style should never be limited to a set of constraints. In fact, when conventional rules are broken that is when new trends and changes come about. Through their high school years, most students dress for comfort, but for fun weekends and special events, they should manage to be both practical and fashion forward.
And, now we introduce Sara Nicole, Mt. Morris Alternative High School, Senior Class of 2010. Sara Nicole is the perfect example of someone who has fun getting dressed up. She shows off her personal flair with color and accessories, allowing her to personalize her wardrobe without making severe changes.
How can you describe Sara Nicole’s “look”? Possibly, urban chic in a vibrant way or to the other extreme of the fashion style to edgy yet elegant rock. She makes sure to include trendy but basic pieces in her outfits, creating a fun, laid-back vibe. She then adds on eye-catching and whimsical accessories that separate her look from others. No matter how dramatic or subtle the details, Sara Nicole’s outfits can instantly look eclectic yet chic or simply edgy elegant
Sara Nicole, enjoy your sneak peek and share with your family and friends! Hey, everybody… leave comments below! We’re also on FaceBook, so leave comments there, too, after you’ve seen Sara Nicole’s photos! Thank you, Sara Nicole!
